THE GRASSROOTS SALON

September 2022 - January 2023
An imaginative scenario in which wealth is questioned through grass

What would the hairsalon look like if everyone is wearing grass? The world in which everyone is stuck with one outfit made out of grass takes the idea of lawn grass as a symbolisation of wealth further. Suggesting that the hair (from grass) should be nothing but fresh: short and green. Not as something people automatically want, but as an aesthetic norm. Just like the lawn, serving almost no other purpose than to be a pretty carpet before a house to represent good citizenship.
